Nurse Vicky Graham mission to serve Siabuwa Camp, Binga Tribal area, Northern Zimbabwe
Thanks to the generosity of Chico Project Save, a large bag of badly needed medical supplies was delivered to Christian Missionary Nurse Vicky Graham by Jim Ledgerwood on his recent safari.
Vicky’s mission and clinic is located Siabuwa camp in the Binga tribal area in Northern Zimbabwe. 350 miles from the nearest town over roads that are largely impassable, compounded by a dysfunctional government in free fall and little funding the medical supplies are greatly appreciated by Vicky.
Vicky is the only medical person in this 1000 sq mile remote area. Her case load includes malaria, cholera and a host of tropical diseases along with major trauma injuries. She estimates that 50% to 60% of her patients have the dreaded big “A,” as she refers to the AIDS epidemic.
In addition to her medical duties she takes care of about 70 orphans.
