Shipment to Philippines is largest so far!
My thanks to each of you. We accomplished a huge task! The shipment to the Philippines was our largest, by number of items, of any shipment so far. The total number of boxes/items was 921! Everyone worked so hard both with the packing and shipping of this container and we so appreciate each of you. We had several "first timers" helping pack the container and I am so grateful for their part.
A special thanks to Irish McNeil who took photos, and to her husband Pete, who ended up in the front for the container for the entire load. What an initiation! Again, thanks to everyone! I am hoping all these hard working volunteers were able to move the next day!! You are amazing!
I was surprised to hear of the typhoon which hit north of Manila on Sunday with winds up to 150 mph. Since Dr. Melicor also works with a hospital in this area, I am sure some of these supplies will be used there as well as on the island of Mindanao. What a timely shipment! God is good! I have emailed Dr. Melicor to check on them, but have not heard back as yet. Once again, my deepest appreciation to each of you! You are the heart of this project! Janice Walker
