Surgical Outreach Helps Hundreds!
We just finished a surgical and dental outreach with Medical Ministry International in Tboli, South Cotabato and in Malaybalay, Bukidnon - all in the island of Mindanao in Southern Philippines.
After two weeks, the team did 107 surgical procedures, 88 of which were major cases like thyroidectomies, cleft lip and cleft palate repairs, hysterectomies, etc. Over 700 carious teeth were extracted from 406 patients.
As for the dental chairs, x-ray units, and OR lights - they all came in good order. Some of them are still in the warehouse in Cagayan de Oro City. We already installed an OR light in Bethel Hospital and it proved of great use during the latest surgical mission.
We are still awaiting the technician to set-up the dental x-ray. A patient with chronic renal disease has benefited from the dialysis solutions you sent. Thank you so much for the van-ful of supplies you sent us!!
