Project S.A.V.E.'s  100th shipment
heads to Liberia!

Saturday, March 23, 2013, marked a milestone in Project SAVE history as we packed and loaded our 100th 20 ft. container, headed for Liberia. It will be sent to a hospital, owned and operated by Firestone Rubber Co., who also takes care of all transportation costs for the container.

Our next shipment will be to El Salvador, and will mark the 41st country we have donated good to. As always, thank you to all our wonderful volunteers for getting us to these miraculous milestones! Read the full story here.

Local family donates  deceased child's  medical supplies

In June of last year a family came out to Project SAVE with a truck and SUV filled with child-related medical supplies. They had just lost their little son, Ethan. Our hearts ached for them and I think all of us who helped receive the supplies were teary as well, sharing in their loss. We assured them we would try to find a good home for their supplies. We sent Ethan's wheelchair with his name inscribed on the back of it to Papua, New Guinea. Some of the more difficult-to-place items left this last month in the shipment to Uganda with Zest4Kidz, a hospital for disabled children. Read the full story here.

CA company donates bus to orphanage in El Salvador

From Ken Karasinski: I want to report that the progress in getting our full-size commercial bus donated to the Children of the Hogar Guirola orphanage in El Salvador is well under way! The bus, originally donated to Nor-Cal Mobility by Michael Pope of Alzheimer's Services of the East Bay has undergone a complete tune-up, has had the interior redone to include 6 wheelchair tie-down positions and 2 two-passenger flip-up seats and Nor-Cal Mobility has installed a Braun commercial-grade wheelchair lift. The bus is in great condition, but we need your help! Read the full story here.
